I am pursuing Engineering in ECE stream and want to apply for IPS Officer Exam after it so can I start my preparation from now?

Yes you have to start the preparation from now because to become an IPS Officer and clearing it exam is not so easy; it is very difficult exam so you have to start its preparation as soon as possible

Practice all question like GL and reasoning question

Do practice some mock test paper

Sleep well before the exam day

Be calm and be positive

Go through the NCERT books of classes 6 to 12.

Pre exam paper syllabus:
In pre exam you have pass to two paper general studies and a subject paper chosen by candidate a list of 23 subjects

Main exam syllabus:
After passing pre exam you can appear main exam its conduct nine papers

I.English (300 points)

II.Any one of the languages included in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution. (300 points)

III.Essay (200 points)

IV & V. General Studies (300 points for each)

VI-IX. Two papers each from the two optional subjects chosen by the candidate each paper 300 points.

Interview:
After passing the main exam you will be called for interview exam which carry 300 marks
