The total emoluments of an Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer have become very lucrative after the fifth pay commission came into effect.
An entry level officer or IPS probationer gets approximately 40,000 INR per month.
ASPs, SPs, and ACPs draw a salary of roughly 60,000 INR per month. DIGs, IGs, and DGPs draw around 80,000 INR per month.

The current pay scales for different designations or ranks of IPS officers have been presented in the following table:-
