The total intake is limited to a maximum of 15 seats including two seats sponsored by WHO

At the end of the course, the field epidemiologist should be able to:
Design, implement and evaluate public health surveillance systems;

Carry out investigations, surveys and research using epidemiological and statistical methods and techniques;

Detect, investigate, monitor and respond to disease outbreaks;

Know all aspects of assessment and response for disasters;

Plan, implement, monitor and evaluate public health programmes;

Design and implement communication strategies for public health action;

Design and implement environmental assessment;

Use computers for epidemiological practice;

Use laboratory support for epidemiological investigations.
