Internship in NTPC

How to do internship at National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC)? What is the minimum eligibility required to do internship in National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC)? Do I need to pay some fee to do internship at National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC)?

Can you tell me about the eligibility criteria for applying for Internship in NTPC Limited as I want to check if I am eligible for it or not?

NTPC Limited offers industrial training certificate and not internships. There are no predefined criteria about training in NTPC. As NTPC does not provides online application form, so interested students should have to send their resume to regional HR manager NTPC.


HR is the only responsible person for trainee selection procedure. Student should contact placement cell of their college/institution and try to convince them to offer training letter. Then they need to attest this letter by Dean/principle.


One must have to submit this letter to HR executive of NTPC plant. HR and manager contact numbers can be found on official website of NTPC. One may conduct a formal interview as selection procedure. If he finds a passion in candidate to work in power sector then only he will select you.


For summer training for NTPC company:

First, candidate go and confirmation letter to Training and Placement Dept.

Then it is approved by College then it is go for Company preview.

After then candidate go to the company then take Training in summer.



Eligibility Criteria for Training in NTPC

One must have completed or appearing in B. Tech/BE 3rd year exam.

One must have Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics as branch in B. Tech/ BE.

One should have age between 21-30 years.

There is also an age relaxation criteria for SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3 years) reserved categories.

At least 65% marks in university semester exams at respective college.
