The International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIITB) is a Deemed to be University in the de-novo category recognized under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act.

It was established in 1999 jointly by the Government of Karnataka with a vision to contribute to the IT world through education and research, entrepreneurship and innovation.

Its mission is to build on the track record set by India in general and Bangalore in particular, to enable India to play a key role in the global IT scene through a world class institute with a focus on education and research, entrepreneurship and innovation.

Over the years, it has recorded 100% placement with major companies in the areas of product, hardware, research and development consistently visiting the campus. Some of the consistent recruiters - Cisco, Morgan Stanley, Tata Consultancy Services, Media Lab Asia, Accenture, Telstra, MediaTek and MathsWorks.


Rankings

International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore was ranked 65 amongst engineering colleges by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2019.

It has been ranked 56th in the Engineering category in the country in National Institutional Ranking Framework 2018 by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.
