Institute of Informatics & Communication (IIC) of University of Delhi was established in 1997 to serve as an inter-disciplinary centre for humanities, social sciences, pure and applied sciences and as a nodal point between university and various Institutions/Industries, related to communication and informatics.

Master of Science (Informatics)

The two-year post-graduate degree programme - Master of Science (Informatics) provides theoretical knowledge and practical skills relating to computers, programming languages, graphics and multimedia applications, telecommunication systems, networking, and management of information systems.

One, after completing it, is expected to attain a good background in conventional computer programming, and expertise in computers and telecommunication networks.

Eligibility:

1. Bachelor degree under 10+2+3 scheme (B.Sc./B.Sc.(H)/B.Appl.Sc.) in Physical Sciences or Chemical Sciences or Electronic Sciences or Mathematical Sciences or Computer Sciences or any combinations of subjects with at least two from these disciplines.
2. B.E./B.Tech. degree in any discipline
3. One who is appearing or have appeared in the final examination of the above courses may also apply.

Admission for Master of Science (Informatics)

One must have passed from the University of Delhi with any of the following degrees or have equivalent qualification from a recognized University / Institutions with minimum 50% marks in aggregate

Number of Seats:

The total numbers of seats (including reserved seats) for M.Sc. are 62.

Reservations /Relaxation

1. 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates, 7.5% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates, 5% of the seats are reserved for Children/Widows of the officers and men of Armed Forces including Para-military personnel killed/disabled in action.3% of the seats are reserved for physically handicapped candidates.
2. Relaxation to the extent of 5% marks in the minimum marks for eligibility to the entrance test and qualifying for group discussion and interview is allowed to the above categories.
3. For OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates, seats are reserved as per University Norms.
