The University Of Hyderabad has an Indira Gandhi Library. The IGM Library is one of the important central facilities of the University catering to the information needs of faculty, research scholars and students in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Management, Sciences and Engineering.

This library building was inaugurated in 21-10-1988.

Total area of the library (in Sq. Mts.) 57000 Sft
Total seating capacity 400
Individual Reading Carrels: 30
Lounge for browsing and relaxed reading: 2000 Sft
Lounge area for browsing and relaxed reading, IT zone for accessing e-resources
Library has a separate Air-conditioned Annex Building with 2 reading halls in 2 Floors with 200 + seating capacity. It is kept open all the days round the clock (365 days 24 hrs.)
