As you want I am here providing you structure of the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) of Indian Statistical Institute. Structure of the test: RMO consist of two test the first of duration 2 hours and the second of 3 hours. The first test will be based on multiple-choice questions (MCQ), and in the second about 6 to 7 problems will be asked which the applicants will have to solve. Syllabus includes : Mathematics up to Class X level. The major areas from which problems are : Number Theory, Geometry, Algebra and Combinatorics. Arithmetic of Integers, Geometry, Quadratic equations and expressions, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Systems of linear equations, Permutations and Combinations, Factorization of polynomials, Inequalities, Elementary Combinatorics, Probability Theory and Number Theory, Finite series and Complex numbers, Elementary Graph Theory. Eligibility for test : Qualification : Students of Class IX--XI. Talented students from Class VIII may be allowed to appear . |
