Re: Indian Oil Corporation Limited Haldia

Fourth in the chain of 10 working Refineries of IndianOil, Haldia Refinery is one of the two refineries of IndianOil Group Companies delivering Lube Oil Base Stocks (LOBS). The Refinery was authorized in January 1975. It is arranged 136 km downstream of Kolkata in the area of Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, close to the intersection of stream Hooghly and Haldi.

Petroleum items from this refinery are provided mostly to eastern India through two item pipelines, in particular Haldia-Mourigram-Rajband Pipeline (HMRBPL), and Haldia-Barauni-Kanpur Pipeline (HBKPL), and in addition through freight boats, tank wagons and tank trucks. Items like MS, HSD and Bitumen are sent out from this refinery.

Haldia Refinery is the main seaside refinery of the organization and the solitary lube lead among IndianOil Refineries, aside from being the sole maker of Jute Batching Oil. Diesel Hydro Desulphurisation (DHDS) Unit was dispatched in 1999, for generation of low Sulfur content (0.25% wt) High Speed Diesel (HSD).
