Indian Navy Eligibility after 12th
Can you tell me if my friend can join Indian Navy after having scored 49% in 12th as he is unsure about it?

You are not applicable for Indian Navy. The recruitment in Indian Navy is done through AFCAT exam .AFCAT is a common test conducted by Indian air force two times a year. Thorough the exam, candidates apply for technical, flying and GDOC branch. Details of this exam is given below.. Details of the AFCAT exam:- 1.Flying branch :- Graduates in any discipline or BE / B Tech degree from a recognized University with at least 60% marks aggregated Candidate’s age should be in between 19-23 years. Min. height 162.5 cms Weight Correlated weight 2.Technical branch:- (i) Educational Qualification – (a) For Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)} A complete 4 years degree from a recognized Institute or passed Sections A and B exam of AMIE India or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership exam of the Institute of Elec. and Telecomm. (b) For Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)} – the same process as mentioned above will be introduced in educational requirement of the post. Physical Standards - Men Women Height 157.5 cms 152 cms Weight Correlated Weight Correlated Weight 3.Ground duty branch:- Age Limit - Qualification Age Limit For Graduate 20 to 23 Years For Post Graduates / LLB (5 years integrated course) 20 to 25 Years For LLB (3 years course after Graduation) 20 to 26 Years For M Ed / Ph D / CA / ICWA 20 to 27 Years Physical Standards - Men Women Height 157.5 cms 152 cms Weight Correlated Weight Correlated Weight Educational Qualifications Administration & Logistics Graduate Degree with minimum 60% marks or a Post Graduate Degree / equivalent Diploma with minimum of 50% marks aggregated in any. Accounts Graduate Degree in Commerce (B Com) with at least 60% marks or Post Graduate Degree in Commerce (M Com) / CA / ICWA with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Education Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate. |

If you passed 12th standard with PCM and obtained not less than 75% in aggregate then you can go for 10+2 Technical Entry in Indian Navy and for it you can take admission in the Naval College of Engineering that is one of the best engineering College in the country and the only of its kind in Asia. The Naval College of Engineering prepares Officers to make a Career in Marine / Electrical / Electronics / Aeronautical Engineering or in Naval Architecture Cadres of the Indian Navy. Technical Entry Selection Procedure : There is no Written Test. All short listed candidates will be called for SSB Interview at any one of the following places : Bangalore, Bhopal , Coimbatore, Allahabad Screening test followed by 4 days of SSB Interview Recommended candidates will have to undergo medical examination. Merit list, Call up for training at INS Shivaji. Physical Standard for Technical Entry : Height and Weight : Minimum acceptable height is 157 Cms with co-related Weight and proportionate chest with minimum 5 cms expansion.
