IMU CET was divided in 6 sections.

Candidates who want to seek admission in B.Tech was tested for their knowledge on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, General Knowledge and Aptitude.

Candidates who wish to seek admission for MBA was tested on Verbal, Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning abilities.
