As per my searching Im founded that in last year placements at Indian Institutes of Technology was begun and companies started visiting the colleges along with lucrative salary packages for the IITians.

Last year Google, Microsoft and Oracle stole the limelight on day 1 of placement and this year it's Samsung which has offered a whopping package of Rs 78 Lakh base salary on day 1.

Samsung selected around 10 IITians, five from IIT-Bombay and rest from IIT-Delhi and IIT-Kanpur. Second highest salary offer was from American company Uber International.

Highlights of Placement:

Total 130 students from UG received offers.
Undergraduate placement is about 87%.
Highest domestic CTC offered was 39 Lakhs per annum.
M.Tech placements are close to 60%.
M. Sc students from basic sciences was near 100% placements.

Average salary is 11.15 Lakh per Annum.
