JEE Advanced 2016 is the IIT Joint Entrance Examination. Seven zonal Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are conducting JEE Advanced 2016 / IIT JEE 2016 under the guidance of Joint Admission Board.

JEE Advanced Eligibility ;

Age Limit:

Candidate must be born on or after October 1, 1991.

Age relaxation of five years is applicable for SC, ST, PwD candidates.

Number of Attempts:

A candidate can attempt the IIT JEE for maximum two times, that too as consecutive year attempts.

Reservation in IITs :


Category Reservation
SC 15%
ST 7.5%
OBC-NCL 27%
PwD 3% horizontally

Qualification :

Candidate should have appeared for class 12 examination for the 1st time in all the subjects in either 2015 or 2016.
