here are some more it related institute in india so i think this may usefull to you...... Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are most highly reputed centers for higher education in science and technology. IITs are a group of seven completely autonomous entities and are called the seven temples of Indian technological education. IITs are declared as the Institutes of National Importance by the government of India. Seven IITs are established in seven cities located across far regions of the country, namely, Delhi, Bombay, Chennai, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Guwahati and Roorki. These institutes have been set up under the Institutes of Technology act, 1963. The central administration of the IITs is carried on by an IIT Council. Human Resource Minister of Government of India is the chairman of this apex body. Nine more IITs have been proposed to be set up in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Orissa, Bihar and Punjab. IT-BHU is also to be converted in to an IIT now. |
