Indian Forest Service Exam Scheme
I have applied for the Indian Forest Service Exam and want to know about the Scheme of Examination of it so can you please give me some information about it? Also provide me the exam pattern and the syllabus of this exam so that I can do my preparation well?

Indian Forest Service (IFS) is one of the three All India Services of the Government of India. The other two All India Services being the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS) Eligibility Criteria Nationality A candidate should be an Indian citizen. The candidates of Nepal or Bhutan are also eligible for the exam. The candidates from Tibet who have migrated to India as a refugee before 1st January 1962 are also eligible for the exam. Age Limit A candidate should be between 21years to 32 years. Educational Qualifications A candidate should have done Bachelors from a recognized University. Or else, if he/ she has obtained the Bachelors degree from an institution, then it should be recognized under the UGC act section 3, 1956. A candidate should possess Bachelors degree in the following subjects Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Agriculture, Forestry Botany, Geology, Mathematics, Geology, Physics, Zoology Engineering. Examination Pattern : Preliminary Exam CSAT- Civil Services Aptitude test. The candidate is required only to qualify in this paper by scoring 33% of the marks. Duration 2 hours Marks 200 Main Exam : Subject Marks Duration Paper-1 General Knowledge 300 3 hours Paper-2 General English 300 3 hours Paper-3 Optional subject -1, Question Paper-1 200 3 hours Paper-4 Optional subject -1, Question Paper-2 200 3 hours Paper-5 Optional Subject-2, Question Paper-1 200 3 hours Paper-6 Optional Subject-2, Question Paper-2 200 3 hours 1400 Optional Paper Agriculture Agriculture Chemistry Mathematics Agriculture Engineering Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Forestry Chemical Engineering Statistics |
