Sir I am an Electronics And Instrumentation Engineer and I want to apply for Indian Engineering Services (IES) . Can an Electronics and Instrumentation engineer apply for IES ? What are the necessary conditions for it ? From where can I download online application form ?

IES Examination is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service commission) every year for the recruitment in various engineering services or post in various Government Departments.

Yes, Electronics And Instrumentation engineering students can apply for IES exam but there are only 4 fields that you have to choose to write the exam:

1- Electronics
2- Electrical
3- Civil
4- Mechanical

The exam includes a common General Ability Paper for all branches. The exam consists of two parts

1) Common Written Test

2) Personality Test
