Indian Engineering Service Exam comprises of written examination and personality test or personal interview (PI). Written test section comprises of two sections. The section 1 is an objective paper Section 2 is conventional paper and has two papers Paper 1 And paper 2. The written examination taken over a period of 3 days Following are the categories of IES 2014. Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Civil Engineering Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Both Sections of the written examination covers the entire syllabus of the relevant engineering subject. General Ability Test: Part A General English Paper I 2 hours 200 Paper II 2 hours 200 Part B General Studies 2 hours 200 Section II Conventional Paper Paper I 3 hours 200 Paper II 3 hours 200 Total 1000 The question paper will only be in English The objective paper will be calculated first and the applicants who scores the minimum qualifying marks their conventional paper will be further evaluated. |

Indian Engineering Service Exam is conducted by the UPSC for recruiting the eligible engineering candidates for Engineering Services. As you want I am here providing you IES Examination paper Pattern. IES Examination Pattern: The entrance for Indian Engineering Service comprises of a Written Exam (section I and II) and an Interview. Engineering Discipline should be chosen from the following categories: Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Written examination will comprise two sections: Section I - objective types questions Section II – conventional (essay) type questions papers. Both Sections will cover the entire syllabus of the relevant engineering subject. Interview: Interview for Personality test of selected candidates: 200marks Here is the attachment . |
