Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) was came into existence in the year of 1969 to promote research in social sciences in the country. It supports a network of following ICSSR research institutes, including: • Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore • Institute of Public Enterprise, Hyderabad • Institute for Studies in Industrial Development, New Delhi • Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute, Allahabad • Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta • Centre for Policy Research (CPR), New Delhi • Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Thiruvananthapuram • Centre for Multi-Disciplinary Development Research • Centre for Women's Development Studies (CWDS), Delhi • Madras Institute of Development Studies • Indian Institute Of Economics (IIE), Hyderabad The Objectives of the Programme are: To support doctoral students to pursue and complete their research work. To assist young scholars who have the potential To offer opportunities to social scientists in order to engage themselves in full-time research on important themes of their choice or to write books about their research; To achieve these objectives, four categories of fellowships are offered to scholars who are at various levels in their profession: National Fellowships Senior Fellowships General Fellowships Doctoral Fellowships. |
