Short Service commission in Indian Army is the tenure of officers of 10+4 years. Here are the details of it:

Eligibility
The applicant should have completed BE/B.Tech degree in the engineering stream with good academic record from any recognized university of India.

Nationality
(i) a citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) Tibetan origin but of Indian domicile, whose parents entered India as refugees prior to 1st January 1962 with intention of permanently settling in India (v) a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and East African countries like Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambi, Malawai, Zaire, Ethopia

Age limit:
Age limit: For SSC (Tech)-42 Men-20 to 27 years
SSC (Tech)-13 Women-20 to 27 years
