As you want I am here telling you about the eligibility conditions for getting job in Indian Air Force after completing Btech degree course.

Eligibility criteria for joining the Indian Air Force:

Age:
18 to 28 years.

Branches in Btech / BE:
Electronics,
Tele-communication,
Electrical,
Electrical Communication,
Electronics & Communication,
Instrumentation,
Computer Science & Engineering

Percentage in Btech / BE:
60% or above

Salary Range:
approx. 17000 along with benefits and various allowances.

Time for Recruitment Notice:
Twice in a year (around March and September).

Steps for Recruitment:

Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

The test lasts for 5 days
Day 1: Intelligence and Psychological Tests

Day 2 and 3: Group tasks involving field events and physical activities.

Day 4: Interview

Day 5: Conference day where all the different assessors sit together and discuss the abilities and performance of candidate in order to check whether he/she is to be recommended or not.

Hello friend As a B.Tech graduate you can join Indian Air Force as

Flying Officer in Flying Branch

Aeronautical Engineer in Technical Branch.

Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE),

Flying (Pilot) Short Service Commission and

National Cadet Corps Special Entry are three modes through which B.Tech graduates can join Flying Branch.

Two entry options available for aspirants to join the Technical Branch in Indian

Direct Entry Scheme and

University Entry Scheme (UES) are


Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE) –

Union Public Service Commission conducts this exam only for unmarried men.

There will be psychological tests, group tests and personal interview for candidates who qualify in the written examination.

Appliocants in the age group of 19 and 23 years can apply for this exam during the months of April and September every year.

National Cadet Corps Special Entry –

This special entry scheme is for the unmarried male candidates having ‘C’ certificate in NCC Air Wing Senior Division.


No written examination for joining flying branch through this scheme


Minimum of 60% marks is required for B.Tech course

Age limit

To apply through this special entry scheme age is between 19 and 23 years.

Flying (Pilot) Short Service Commission –

Unmarried men and women both can apply through this scheme

Should possess minimum of 60% marks during their B.Tech course.

Age limit specified for this scheme is between 19 and 23 years

As a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) holders can claim an upper age limit up to 25 years.

Applicants can forward their application during the months of December and June every year to the concerned Command Head Quarters.

They should qualify in the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT).

Technical Branch Process

Direct Entry Scheme –

Men and Women candidates having their

Age between 18 and 28 years can apply through this scheme.

The age of unmarried applicants should be below 25 years.

Should have minimum of 60% marks in their B.Tech course.

University Entry Scheme (UES) –

Students studying in the final semester of B.Tech course can apply through this scheme.

Qualification

Should have minimum of 60% aggregate up to last semester at the time of applying for or during AFSB testing.

It is mandatory that they should obtain minimum of 60% aggregate on successful completion of B.Tech course..

Applicants applying through both these schemes should qualify the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT).

Applications can be submitted during the month of December every year.
