UPSC Indian Administrative Services Exam details are as given below:

IAS Important dates:

Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam 2015

Date of Notification: 23 May, 2015
Last Date to Apply: 19 June, 2015
Exam Date: 23 August, 2015
Civil Services (Main): 18 December, 2015

Age Limit: -
The candidate should be minimum 21 years of age for applying and the maximum age limit to apply for the UPSC Exams is 29 years.

Educational Qualification: -
The candidate should have a degree completed from any of the institutes established by an Act of Parliament or any University deemed by the University Grant Commission under section 3, Act, 1956.

The candidates with a degree from any of the recognized universities can apply for the UPSC Exams.

Exam pattern:

The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of Objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry maximum of 400 marks.

This exam is only a screening test; the marks obtained in the prelims are only for qualifying for main exam.
