Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (IMS BHU), will admit candidates for MBBS and BDS programmes on the basis of results of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam scores.

The admission to all seats at IMS BHU will take place through the NEET score and the counselling process for all Central Universities like IMS BHU will be done by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the MCC.

BHU MBBS Eligibility Criteria

All candidates must have to appear in NEET 2017

Indian nationals/Non Resident Indians (NRIs)/Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs)/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply

Candidate must also have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission

The upper age limit must be 25 years as on the date of examination and candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category have a relaxation of 5 years.

BHU MBBS Selection Procedure

The DGHS will shortlist candidates for admissions who appeared in NEET for MBBS and BDS programmes on the basis of their NEET scores

Only those candidates who secure the requisite percentile in NEET and find a place in the merit list are eligible for BHU MBBS BDS admission.

Those belonging to general categories are required to score a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) have to secure at least 40 percentile in NEET.
