Placements at Indian Institute of Technology Madras are organized by the Placment Office with assistance from students.

As the logo says, "Siddhirbhavati Karmaja" - Success comes through hard work.

Placement procedure –

1. Companies interested in recruiting students from IIT Madras have to register their intent with the placement office before 30th September by filling the ERF online.

2. The companies have to conduct pre-placement talk from mid August to end of October.

The companies have to conduct written/online tests before end of Novemebr.

3. The internal date allotment committee, constituting students , professors, and other staff, to decide campus interview dates for all registered companies.

4. The Placement interview starts from 1st December.

5. At the end of selection process, company is required to send offer letters to the Placement Office to the selected students.
