The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur is a public engineering institution established by the government of India in 1951

Wifi details:

Internet connection inside IIT Kharagpur is provided through an HTTP Proxy server.

A proxy server acts as an intermediary for requests from clients seeking resources from internet.

For addresses that are on the KGP LAN Network, using the proxy server is not required.

The HTTP Proxy is 172.16.2.30:8080 (as of 6th July, 2017).

The proxy server can be bypassed for the address 10.0.0.0/8 .
