Will you give me information about the total campus area of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur ? Also give me information about the area given for the hostel and sports facilities ? Is there any temporary campus of the IIT Kharagpur?

Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT), Kharagpur was established in 1950 at Hijli. The Institute started its journey in the old Hijli Detention Camp where some of the great freedom fighters toiled and sacrificed their lives for the independence of the country.

As per me IIT Kharagpur total campus area is 8.5 square kilometres
