IIT Kharagpur Act
I am going to join the IIT Kharagpur and before joining I want to know about the act under which IIT Kharagpur was established? Also tell me from where I can get the physical copy of the IIT Kharagpur Act if possible please provide me that physical copy?

The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur is a public engineering institution established by the government of India in 1951. It was the first of the IITs to be established, and is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. On 15 September 1956, Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur) Act, 195 of Parliament received the assent of the President The Ministry Of Law (Legislative Department) New Delhi was introduced its act on 20th December, 1961, Agrahayana 29, 1883 (Saka) The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 19th December 1961, and is hereby published for general information: - THE INSTITUTES OF TECHNOLOGY ACT, 1961 No. 59 of 1961 (Effective from 1st April, 1962) An act to declare certain Institutions of technology to be institutions of national importance and to provide for certain matters connected with such institutions and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
