MBA Course Duration:

2 years (4 semesters)

Total Quantum of Coursework Required to Earn the MBA Degree Through VGSoM = 89 to 93 Credits

Eligibility Criteria :

Candidates Should have Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree in Science Economics or Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level) with the following criteria:

For institutes a) awarding degree based on aggregate marks secured in all years of the qualifying degree OR b) awarding degree based on aggregate marks secured in the final two semesters or final year of the qualifying degree:
O GE/NC-OBC: Minimum of 60% marks (OR CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale)
O SC/ST/PwD: Minimum of 55% marks (OR CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale)

For both the above cases, if the CGPA is on a different scale than 10.0, the eligibility of the candidates will be calculated corresponding to the equivalence stated above.

Selection Procedure :

The Selection of Candidates for Admission to the 2016-18 Batch of MBA at VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur is a two-step process.

candidates are short-listed for GD-WA-PI from among candidates who have a valid CAT/GMAT score, who have applied for the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme.

GMAT for International Students, and the Candidate’s Performance in the group discussion, written analysis and personal interview (GD-WA-PI) round

Overall CAT Cut-off:

For General Candidates, Minimum CAT percentile is 90,
For NC-OBC 80,
For SC 75,
For ST 75
For PwD 75

Application Fee ;

Rs. 1600 for General & NC-OBC Candidates
Rs. 800 for SC/ST/PWD

Group Discussion (GD), Written Analysis Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) will be conducted by VGSOM, IIT Kharagpur at various locations as per the following schedule:
Delhi: February 29 to March 03, 2016
Mumbai: March 14 to March 17, 2016
Kolkata: March 24 to March 26, 2016
Hyderabad: March 28 to March 30, 2016
Bangalore: April 04 to April 07, 2016
