Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur (IIT-K) has been ranked 271st in the list issued by prestigious QS World University rankings.

The institute has bettered its rank from last year when it was not even a part of the first 300 global Universities. Two Indian institutes of Technology have made to the top 200 list of world's best varsities for the first time. IISc Bengaluru is ranked 147 and IIT-Delhi 179.

In fact, it has been IIT-K's best ranking ever. Earlier, in year 2013 and 2012 it was ranked 295 and 278 respectively. The institute is now hoping on improving its ranking further next year and breaking into the top 200 universities of the world.
