For doing Regular M.Tech course from here you have to need a GATE score.

IIT Kanpur Non Gate Admission provides two types of M.Tech course which includes:

1 Sponsored M.Tech:

Education Qualification: Same as regular M.tech

Selection Procedure: Written test/Interview

Course Duration: 2 years

Work Experience: You must have been in service of the sponsoring organization for at least two years at the time of admission.

Documents Required: Sponsorship certificate from the sponsoring organization.

2 Part time M.Tech:

Work Experience: The applicant must be an employee of a recognized organization with at least two years of service at the time of admission and be engaged in professional work in the area to which admission is sought. An application for the part-time studies should be forwarded by the employer.

Document required: No objection certificate (NOC) from the organisation you are working in.

3 regular M.Tech:

Education Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a master’s degree in science with marks/CPI not below the prescribed minimum
For M. Tech. in Biological Sciences and Bio-engineering, applicants having bachelor’s degree in pharmacy/medicine

Selection Procedure: GATE score

Course Duration: 2 years

Seat Reservation:

15% SC
5% ST
27% OBC

Financial assistance: A monthly stipend of Rs.8,000/- for 8 hours of work per week.
