Humanities and Social Sciences is one of the academic departments of IIT Kanpur. It is multi-disciplinary, and consists of six disciplines: Economics English Literature and Linguistics Fine Arts Philosophy Psychology and Sociology The Programme The Economics program starts with admitting students who have cleared the grueling Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by the IITs PLACEMENTS The first batch of Economics graduated this year.
