The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi is a part of the IIT league in India which includes besides IIT Delhi, Bombay, Kanpur, Guwahati, Kharagpur, Roorkee and Madras etc. The institute was established on 21st August 1961. It has 2 schools, 11 centres, and 13 departments that offer about 700 courses and programmes. The Educational Departments of IIT Delhi include: Biochemical Engineering & Biotechnology Applied Mechanics Chemical Engineering Chemistry Computer Science & Engineering Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering Department of Humanities & Social Science Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Management Studies Physics Textile Technology Academic Programmes at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi Undergraduate Programs Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering (Power), Production and Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Textile Technology Dual Degree Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Biochemical and Biotechnology, Engineering and Electrical Engineering Post-Graduate Programs Master of Technology, Master of Science, Master of Science (Research), Master of Business Administration, Master of Design (Industrial Design) Integrated Master of Technology Program in Mathematics and Computing.
