Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad is a type of public engineering university.
It was established in the year 2008.
It is located in Sangareddi, Telangana, India.
It is an institute of national importance.
IIT Hyderabad runs from a temporary campus located at Ordnance Factory Medak's estate in Yeddumailaram, while the permanent campus in Kandi being constructed.

It was started on 18 August 2008 from a provisional campus at Ordnance Factory Medak, Eddumailaram.
Its permanent campus is situated at Kandi near Sangareddy and is close to the Outer Ring Road (Hyderabad).
The campus is positioned on NH-9 and is also near to Outer Ring Road (Hyderabad).
The institute moved most of the operations to the permanent campus in July 2015.

The academic blocks are newly modernized buildings of Sarath Vikas School Campus.
