Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is a public institution established by the Government of India, located in Guwahati, in the state of Assam in India. It is the sixth Indian Institute of Technology established in India.

About the Hostel Room Facility

IIT Guwahati is given a seperate room. Each room comes equipped with requisite amount of lighting and electrical ports, a fan, a chair and table and a cot.

The toilets and bathrooms are shared (3 of each for every 10 rooms on average). Every hostel has its own history and unique facilities,

But all of them have the basics i.e. a mess, a canteen, a juice center, a stationary shop, a library, a TV room, a sports room (for indoor sports), and laundry facilities.
