Indian Institute of Technology Delhi was founded in the year 1961. It is centered at New Delhi, Delhi, India . The campus of 325 acres (132 ha) is surrounded by Hauz Khas area and monuments such as the Qutub Minar and Lotus Temple. The campus is also close to Jawaharlal Nehru University, AIIMS , NIFT , National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and ISI. Multi-Storey Building (MS) facing the front lawns The campus has its own water supply and backup electricity supply along with shopping complexes. The inside of the campus resembles a city, with residential complexes ,gardens, lawns and wide roads .
