For seeking admission into IIT Colleges or Institutes for the Bachelor Degree Program you have to clear the 10 + 2 Higher Secondary Examination - HSC from any of the recognized boards or universities in India.

One also have to crack the crack Joint Entrance Examination- JEE which is the entrance test for getting admission into any of the IIT Colleges in India

Indian Institutes of Technology are a group of fifteen autonomous engineering and technology institutes established as Institutes of National Importance by the Parliament of India.

Kharagpur -1951
Mumbai -1958
Chennai -1959
Hyderabad - 2008
Patna - 2008
Punjab - 2008
Rajasthan - 2008
Himachal Pradesh - 2009
Kanpur -1959
Delhi -1963
Guwahati -1994
Roorkee - 2001
Bhubaneswar - 2008
Gandhinagar - 2008

The IITs have a common admission process for undergraduate admissions.

It is called Joint Entrance Examination

The post-graduate level program that awards M.Tech degree in engineering is .

M.Tech admission is done on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

B.Tech and M.Tech programs IITs also award other graduate degrees such as M.Sc in Engineering, Physics , Maths and Chemistry, MBA, PhD etc.

Admission to these programs of IITs is done through Common Admission Test , Joint Admission Test for Masters and Common Entrance Examination for Design
