The Indian Institute of Technology Chennai is a public engineering and research institute located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1959 It is recognised as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.

IIT Madras placement 2015-

IIT Madras has concluded its first phase of campus placements with a total of 880 students

The students gets final job offers from top firms including Flipkart, Reliance, TVS, Tata Motors, General Motors, Goldman Sachs and ICICI Lombard.

A total of 295 domestic and international companies participated in the recruitment process.

The institute conducts its annual placement in two phases- December and April.

A total of 1,360 students from across different courses had registered for the first phase of campus placement

As many as 75 students have received get multiple job offers during the placement process which began on Dec 1

In terms of the highest numbers of offers, Cognizant Technology was on the top with 36 offers, followed by Ola Cabs and Flipkart with 29 and 19 offers respectively.
