IIT JEE Main exam is for admission into B.E/B.Tech is different institutions in India including IIT and NIT.

First the JEE Main exam will be take place and then the candidates who are ranked well in the main exam will be qualifying for the JEE Advanced exam .

The IIT JEE main exam is for the admission to the NIT
Only the JEE advanced exam will be for the admission to Indian Institute of Technology.

They are offline mode and online exam.

Important Dates:
Dates of starting Application forms:- 15th November 2013
IIT JEE Main exam held on - 06.04.2014
IIT JEE Advanced exam - 25.05.2014

Eligibility:
General and OBC students securing at least 60% marks and SC/ST students securing 55% marks in 12th can apply for IIT-JEE exam.
