Hey as The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is a government-aided institute and deemed university for the study and research of space science, located at Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Reservation of seats

Scheduled Castes (SC) --- 15%

Scheduled Tribes (ST) --- 7.5%

Other Backward Castes (OBC) belonging to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) --- 27%

Persons with Disabilities (PD) --- 3% (Horizontal Reservation)

Qualification:

Qualifying exam should have been passed with an aggregate of, at least, 70% marks (60% for SC, ST, PwD) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.

Entrance Examination

General Category:

Candidate must have secured, at least, 100 marks out of 504 (i.e. 20% marks out of the total), along 8 marks out of 168 in each subject (i.e 5% marks out of the total)

Other Backward Class (Non- Creamy Layer) Category:

Candidates must score minimum of 90 marks out of 504 (i.e. 18% marks out of total) and should also secure, at least, 7 marks out of 168 (i.e. 4.5% marks out of total) in all Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

SC, ST and PwD Category:

Candidate must have secured, at least, 50 marks out of 504 (i.e. 10% marks out of the total), along 4 marks out of 168 in each subject (i.e 5% marks out of the total)
