Re: IISC Polymer Department
Conceived over a century prior in 1909 alongside the Institute, named as "The Department of General and Applied Chemistry" during childbirth, this office has developed from various perspectives with the Institute, with its eyes concentrated on both crucial and connected exploration in the wide zones of physical and inorganic science. At present, it has 20 employees working in rich and assorted regions of science including atomic spectroscopy, substance flow, logical and computational hypothesis, electrochemistry, polymer science, move metal and non-metal science, bioinorganic and biophysical science, and useful materials. The division has a portion of the finest examination instruments for completing work in cutting edge focused ranges of science. Some of these instruments, for example, the FT microwave spectrometer, surface-upgraded laser Raman spectrometer, Raman magnifying lens, femtosecond pump-test exploratory set-ups, are home-constructed, though the high determination TEM, the AFM, single precious stone and powder X-beam and NMR spectrometers have been industrially gained. Courses in January 2017 (Tentative) Note: Special topics courses might not be offered each year.
