Built up in 1982, the Joint Astronomy Program (JAP) is a system for preparing astronomy graduate understudies, keep running as a team with Raman Research Institute (RRI) Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) The Physics Department of IISc is the host of this system.
