The Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode adopts a two-step selection process for admissions which includes (a) Short-listing of candidates on the basis of their CAT score (overall and sectional), 10th and 12th marks (b) Personal Interview, Group Discussion and Written Ability Test for all the short-listed candidates.

The institute gives different weightage to all the sections before finalising the admission of a candidate.

However, Personal Interview has been given the maximum weighatge followed by the CAT score by the institute for the admission

Only successfully registered candidates will be considered for the next stages of the selection process.

Now, the first step of the selection process begins.

Step 1: Short listing for Personal Interview, Group Discussion and Writing Ability Test (PI-GD-WAT)

The first step is to short-list the candidates who have fulfilled the minimum eligibility criteria.

A shortlist of candidates in each category will be created based on an Aggregate Index Score (AIS).

The AIS is computed based on the performance in CAT 2017, Class 12th, Bachelors degree marks and work experience.
