Common Admission Test is conducted on National level by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), the top most B-schools of India to provide admission to Post Graduate level Management Degree/Diploma programmes. CAT Exam Dates CAT is normally held from mid of October to Novermber. CAT Exam Fee Application form and the bulletin can be obtained on payment of Rs.1600 (Rs.800 for SC/ST candidates). Under exceptional circumstances can also be obtained from any of the IIMs by sending a crossed demand draft of Rs.1600 (Rs.800 for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favor of the respective IIM. R CAT Exam Syllabus There is no defined syllabus for the CAT exam. It is designed to assess the natural ability of a person towards their preferred field. Mainly, the questions are asked from Quantitative Aptitude Reading Comprehension & Verbal Ability and Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency. CAT Exam Pattern- It will be of two sections- The first section will focus on Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation; The second section will focus on Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. These two sections will be implemented sequentially with separate time limits. The examination will be for 140 minutes. Candidates will have 70 minutes to answer 30 questions within each section which will have an on-screen countdown timer. Once the time ends for the first section, they will move to the second section and will no longer be able to go back. A 15-minute tutorial will be provided before the start of the test, and candidates are advised to go through that carefully before starting the main examination. The total duration will be 2 Hr. 35 Min including the tutorial. |
