As you are preparing for PGEE exam which is conducted by IIIT Hyderabad so here I am providing you the steps below.

International Institute of Information Technology or IIIT-H, Hyderabad conducts PGEE entrance exam for taking admission to Master of Technology (M.Tech)/Master of Science (M.S by Research)/Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programs in the areas of Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computational Linguistics, Computer Aided Structural Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Natural Sciences (Dual-Degree & M.Sc.), IT in Building Sciences, Spatial Informatics (Remote Sensing and GIS) and Humanities for the academic year

Eligibility Criteria for IIIT-H PGEE:

For M.Tech -Contenders who have completed (or going to complete by July 2015) BE/B.Tech in Engineering (any branch including CS/IT/ECE/EEE/Civil/Instrumentation/Biotechnology) or B.Arch. or Master's degree in Science/Maths/IT/Computer Science or MCA.
For PG Diploma -Candidates who have completed (or going to complete by July 2015) MA in linguistics, languages and other related areas.
For M.S by Research –
Contenders, who are eligible to apply for M.Tech program, are also eligible to apply.
Those contenders who have completed (or going to complete by July 2015) M.E/M.Tech may also apply
For PhD –
All who are eligible to apply for M.Tech program, are also eligible to apply for Ph.D program.
All who have completed (or going to complete by July 2015) M.E/M.Tech.
All who have completed (or going to complete by July 2015) masters degree in Social Sciences or Humanities are eligible to apply only for Ph.D program with (Spatial Informatics and Exact Humanities).
For M.Phil - M.A or M.Phil in Linguistics, Languages or related areas.


The entrance exam has two parts:
1. Written
2. Interview


Written:
The written exam for CSE consists of two papers of 1.5 hours each. The first paper is pure aptitude, reasoning and English and its not very hard to clear. It contains 50 questions. Time is of main apprehension. As there's no negative marking attempt as much as you can.

The 2nd paper is technical and contains 25 questions. The syllabus for PGEE is less than that of GATE. The subjects that are asked:
(a) Data Structures (Pointers Mainly)
(b) Algorithms
(c) Discrete Mathematics
(d) DCS
(e) Computer Organisation


Actual Syllabus:

Fundamental Programming Concepts, Control Flow, Functions, Recursion, Basic Data Structures (arrays, lists, stacks, and queues), Basic algorithms (sorting and searching), Boolean Algebra, Digital Building Blocks (AND/OR/NAND/XOR Gates), Karnaugh's Maps, Computer Organisation, Number Systems. Capability to write programs in C or C++ is expected.
