The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) is located in Bhagalpur dist. of Bihar state.

The Institute was established in 1960.

The Institute was set up by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and Government of Bihar in partnership with the Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (Beltron).

It is affiliated by Aryabhatta Knowledge University.
