Re: Is IIFT tougher than CAT
XAT or IIFT are tougher than CAT. It is just that CAT has a few easy questions and tests you on lesser number of parameters. IIFT Or CAT XAT is much more comprehensive due to which people tend to label it as difficult. This is probably because the coaching classes stress so much on CAT that the format seems more 'natural' to the test takers. Similar logic applies for IIFT too. IIFT Exam pattern The exam will have 3 sections. The total marks will be 100. The different sections of the exam are described in the table below. Section I English Comprehension Section II General Knowledge & Awareness Section III Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis Total Duration-2 Hours There is differential marking scheme for each section. For each wrong answer, there is negative marking of 1/3 allotted marks. The number of questions which appeared in last year’s exam was 118, with difficulty level of moderate to tough. IIFT Paper Structure Number of Questions-118 Sections-4 Marking Scheme 1 for QA, DI and LR, 0.75 for VA, 1 for RC and 0.50 for GA Negative Marking-1/3 of allotted marks Number of choices-4 Duration-120 minutes |
