I am doing B.Tech in Mechanical branch and I want to crack IFS exam so please tell me some preparation tips?

IFS stand for Indian Forest Service exam
It is organized by the UPSC for recruitment into the following Government job positions:

District conservator
Assistant conservator
Principal conservator
Chief conservator
Environment Secretary
Inspector General of forests

Study through text books

Solve previous years question papers

You have to be proficient in English, as the questions are asked only in English.

Do practice comprehensions, essays, and vocabulary exercises from any standard grammar book

Basic preparations should be made from good text books, newspapers, topical essays, websites, etc.

Practice to do neat handwriting it will enhance the quality of answer.

For the interview- Knowledge of your subject of study and overall general awareness is a must.

You must have knowledge on forest-related issues, policies and status of their implementation.

You should also be well aware of your home-state or state of domicile
