The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (AICP) of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended, the universal administration of three doses of the quadrivalent HPV (human papilloma virus) vaccine against cancer (Gardasil) in girls 11 or 12 yr of age.
