The ICFAI University, Sikkim was founded under Section 4(2) of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India and it has been notified under Notification No. 9LD2004 Dated 15th October, 2004.

The ICFAI University is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, London and the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
