An Information Technology Officer Post in IBPS (Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection) is usually sits at Zonal/Regional office or at a branch. Various Responsibilities of an IBPS SO IT Officer: One is responsible for the management of the entire IT team and provides end-to-end support for banks core banking system. One is responsible for providing support and procedural documentation and also maintain the shift duty system and for the handling of data as well as the core banking application files. One is responsible for setting up and maintaining new users accounts, profiles and their passwords and developing new software and applications and modifying the banks existing software. One look after banks network security and anti-virus updates and are responsible for conducting safety checks on computer equipment, bank network security, Anti-Virus and Anti-fraud management etc. One is responsible to make sure that the Banks internal security is not breached and customers details are not leaked. All ATM related activities (maintenance and troubleshooting) are under ones care. One is responsible for management of various subsystems like ATM, Kiosks, Mobile banking, Internet banking, Networking, etc. Diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults in the network and system of the bank. Replacing parts as required Providing support, including procedural documentation Supporting the roll-out of new applications Setting up new users accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues Testing and Evaluating new technology Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment Salary The salary structure for scale I Rs 14,500 600/7 18,700 700/2 20,100 -800/7 25,700/- approximately so, the cash-in-hand will be around Rs. 24,000-32,000 nearly. For the officers under scale II, the basic pay given is Rs 19,400 700/1- 20,100 800/10 28,100/ approximately. During appointment, the salary will be Rs. 34,000-40,000 approximately. |
