Re: IBPS Clerk Exam Roll Number

The exam for IBPS Clerk are over for the session 2014 so the admit cards are already released by the Institute.

Candidates who registered need to download one’s IBPS Clerk Admit Card from the IBPS website by entering one’s details i.e. Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth.

No hard copy of the call letter/ Information Handout etc. will be sent by post/ courier.

One need to produce, in original, the same photo identity proof bearing the name as it appears on the online application form/ call letter and submit photocopy of the photo identity proof along with Exam call letter while attending the exam, without which they will not be allowed to take up the exam.

Online Registration begins: August 12, 2014
Last date for online registration: September 1, 2014
Online application fee payment available from August 12, 2014 to September 1, 2014
Offline application fee payment available from August 14, 2014 to September 3, 2014
Pre-Examination Training call letter for SC/ST/ Minority Community/ EXSM/ PWD candidates available from November 7, 2014 to November 17, 2014
Pre-Examination Training for SC/ST/ Minority Community/ EXSM/ PWD candidates to be held from November 17, 2014 to November 22, 2014
IBPS Clerk exam 2014 call letter available after: November 17, 2014
IBPS Clerk exam 2014 Online Examination tentative dates: December 6, December 7, December 13, December 14, December 20, December 21, and December 27, 2014
IBPS Clerk exam 2014 results to be declared: January 2015
Interview call letters available online from: January 2015

IBPS Clerk Syllabus:

As stated IBPS Clerk Exam test the aspirant’s skills in Numerical ability, Reasoning, English, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. Subjects mentioned here are very broad so candidate should be very careful while preparing for the exam. Based on the previous year question papers syllabus for the IBPS Clerk exam is designed. Have a look over it.

Numerical Ability:

This section main aim is to analyze the candidate’s skill on basic mathematical formulas and its applications. It is designed based on the computational speed and accuracy. Paper should be solved manually. Main topics covered under this section are as follows.

Series: Three to four questions are covered under this topic

Arithmetic Problems: Minimum of 5 questions is covered from simple mathematical calculations. This section will be very simple but consumes lot of time. So candidate need to improve the speed by using the short cut methods or tips available.

Time Distance, Time and Work: Minimum of 4 questions covered under this section

Profit and Loss, Interest Rate: Three questions are expected from this section in IBPS Clerk Paper.

Other questions will be from Permutations and Combinations, Clocks, Calendar and Pipe Cistern problems,

Minimum of two questions will be on Data Interpretation where there will be 5 questions to be answered under each question. This section needs fast computational abilities.

Reasoning:

Reasoning section test the candidate’s logical analysis ability. Simple logic makes the sense to each and every question in this section. All you have to do is finding the logic hidden behind and applying it.

10 questions on Diagrams and pictures

10 questions will be asked on puzzle type problems. There will be 2 questions where 5 questions are covered under each question. Just by understanding the simple logic all the 5 questions can be answered very easily.

There will be 5 questions on Arguments.

5 questions on arguments and conclusions

5 questions on Alphabets, Patterns and arrangements.

English:

Grammar is the main part in this section where complete section tests the grammatical skills of person. Apart from Grammar couple of Antonyms and Synonyms is also tested. Here are the details of the IBPS clerk written test paper.

There will be 20 marks for unseen comprehension where Antonyms and Synonyms also come under Unseen comprehension.

There will be 5 questions on spot the error or sentence correction

Other problems are based on the fill in the blanks where candidates use proper parts of speech like proposition, conjunction and interjection.
